The Regular Program is a category of classes rather than an actual class itself. The Regular Program course path consists of taking 8 sequential classes, E010 through E080. The main feature of the Regular Program is its frequency: students attend class four days a week, Monday through Thursday, for one hour each day. For those who can’t make it to the HAI four days a week, there is a Regular Program available on Fridays that consists of 4 hours on a single Friday morning or afternoon.
The Accelerated Program is a category of classes rather than an actual class itself. The Accelerated Program course path consists of taking 8 sequential classes, E010 through E080. The main feature of the Accelerated Program is its frequency: students attend class four days a week, Monday through Thursday, for two hours each day. Therefore, the eight classes within the Accelerated Program can be completed in one year.
The Intensive Program is a category of classes rather than an actual class itself. The Intensive Program course path consists of taking 8 sequential classes, E010 through E080. The main feature of the Intensive Program is its frequency: students attend class one day a week for four hours each day, ANY day of the week. Therefore, the eight classes within the Intensive Program can be completed in one year.
The HAI Young Adults Program is appropriate for youthful students who want to learn English in an engaging, dynamic setting. Geared for young adults ages 10 through 16, there are two variations to choose from, depending on the time of year. During non-summer months, there is the Saturday Young Adults program which offers a 3-hour class every Saturday. During summer months, there is a Summer Weekday Young Adults program.
Registration for the online classes is open to all students.
As a way to keep our learning fresh, the Haitian-American Institute is embarking on a program of Online Classes.
The first two-month sessions begin June 8 and June 13.
Tuition will be $120 per session.

The Introduction to the Computer class offers hands-on instruction and practice. Learn your way around the Internet, and learn how to use Microsoft Word, Publisher, and Excel. Many class times are offered to fit a variety of schedules. This class is completed in 6 months.
With this Listening & Speaking 110 certificate class, the student begins to engage deeply in the communication of the English language. Listening & Speaking 110 covers the INSIDE LISTENING BOOK 1 textbook.
This class is a prerequisite for Listening & Speaking 210.
The certificate class Listening & Speaking 210 not only picks up where the previous class left off, it features documentaries, movies, live programs, and games. This is a very interactive class, and fun, too!
The Listening and Speaking 210 program uses the Inside Listening & Speaking textbook.
The English for Tourism course is a nine-month program designed to hone the English skills of the students in the hospitality sector.
The program covers the basics in the first three months with the textbook EVERYDAY ENGLISH FOR HOSPITALITY PROFESSIONALS; the ENGLISH FOR TOURISM book is used for the next six months in the Intermediate and Advanced levels.
At the end of the program, the best students may be selected for hands-on training sessions in the United States, made possible by a partnership between the Haitian-American Institute and Frenchman’s Creek Beach and Country Club in Florida.
