The first annual Package Deal Program for youngsters aged 8 to 11 and young adults aged 12 to 16 years has come and gone. Everyone is the richer for it and already looking forward to next year’s Package Deal with a great deal of eagerness.
Like an educational version of summer camp, the Package Deal enrichment program kept all 31 participants engaged
The 8 to 11’s in a dance routine
with 2 hours of English classes, a nutritious lunch, “Between the Covers” literary club, and other fun activities such as board and sporting games, dancing and a talent show.
Conceived by Haitian-American Institute President Mrs. Patricia Convery and coordinated by Mrs. Jocelyne Rose Menard, a teacher, the program was a huge success and received extensive help from the entire IHA-HAI family of staff.
